My name is Elisa Starble and I have lived in Colorado for the past 16 years. My husband, Michael, and I have been married for 25 years and have three almost adult children! Our two oldest sons are in college, one in Los Angeles and the other in Chicago. Our daughter is a senior in high school and all of them are aspiring to careers in the performing arts. I have a B.A. in Business Administration and was lucky to be able to stay home with my children for ten years. When my daughter was in first grade, I went into teaching and taught Art, Music, and P.E. to the kindergarten classes at Bergen Elementary in Jefferson County. I discovered that my strength and love was working with younger children so I took a position at Evergreen Mountain School that served preschoolers from 3-5 years old. After five years of hands on teaching, I went back to school to obtain my Colorado Director's License so that I could lead the expanding early childhood portion of the school, where I worked for the next five years. We moved to Denver in 2006 in order to be closer to our children's high school. Since that time, I have been teaching at early childhood facilities in the Denver area including, most recently, the Montview Community Preschool until I found this wonderful opportunity. My passion has always been assisting young children play and learn. I look forward to meeting all of the parents and children that are a part of the Lightway at Sloans' family. ![]()

Hello! My name is Lyndsay Bennetts and I have been in child care for almost seven years
now. I love working with kids, and cannot imagine doing anything else. I took a
48 hour training course at Red Rocks Community College to become an Infant
Nursery Supervisor, and I love working with babies! I am very excited to be working
at Lightway at Sloans! One of my favorite parts of the "job" (I put job in quotations because I have never really liked the word job when working with kids) is getting to cuddle and spend quality time with the babies! It will be seldom that you will see me without a baby in my arms, or see me playing with them on the floor! I realize that bringing your most prized possession to someone else to take care of is probably the hardest thing that you have ever done. That being said, if there is ANYTHING I can do, to make this transition the slightest bit easier for you and your child, please let me know! I will do what I can to make this journey an easy and enjoyable one for everyone. ![]()
My name is Klare Looney and I created Lightway after having my son and trying to find good care. When visiting other daycare facilities, there was always something that each center was lacking in regards to what I was wanting in a center. I knew I couldn't leave my child at any place but the perfect place. After months of searching and not being satisfied, I decided to create a place that had Everything I was looking for and more. Being a working mother and knowing how difficult it can be, I wanted to make sure and incorporate perks that the parents could benefit from as well. I was also concerned with my child being just another number in a large facility, and that is why our center will be no more than 25 kids. I feel as if this will give the kids the opportunity to still have the benefits of interacting with other children, as well as being a part of close intimate family environment. Lightway At Sloan's truly offers everything and more that I ever wanted, and I hope to offer that to you as well. ![]() |
